SINGAPORE, 30 April 2026 – In celebration of May Day 2026, FairPrice Group (FPG) will provide NTUC and Link members with $5 million worth of savings on key daily essentials across FairPrice supermarkets and selected Kopitiam food courts. This year’s May Day promotions will also feature additional 50 per cent off deals exclusively for NTUC members when they pay via the FPG app.
FPG’s May Day initiatives are part of the Group’s wider commitment to ensure that essentials remain affordable and accessible for Singaporeans, amidst rising costs stemming from unprecedented disruption to global energy networks and supply chains.
Vipul Chawla, Group CEO, FairPrice Group, said that FPG will always step up to keep daily essentials within reach for Singaporeans, especially in times of uncertainty. “This May Day, we want to recognise the tireless effort that Singapore’s workers have put in to provide for their families and loved ones amidst unprecedented volatility. These discounts on key essentials are our way of assuring Singaporeans that we stand with them, and remain committed to delivering on our purpose of making every day a little better for all in the nation.”
Ng Chee Meng, Secretary-General of NTUC said, “May Day is about celebrating workers’ contributions and in addition to looking out for them at work, NTUC wants to provide practical help when cost of living weighs on workers and their families. The discounts on essentials from FairPrice Group demonstrate our shared commitment in doing our part to ease cost pressures in times of need. Our social mission is clear, and we will continue to work together across the Labour Movement to improve workers’ lives and livelihoods.”
