SINGAPORE, 6 AUGUST 2026 – In celebration of Singapore’s National Day and as part of its ongoing commitment to keeping daily essentials within reach, FairPrice Group (FPG) today announced a special Return Voucher initiative designed to help Singaporeans stretch their dollar further during the festive period.

The initiative comes at a crucial time as recent reports continue to highlight public concerns over inflation and the rising costs of groceries, food, and utilities1.

From 6 August to 16 August, customers spending $61 in a single receipt will receive a $6 Return Voucher. Designed as a gesture of thanks and meaningful assistance, the vouchers provide shoppers with extra savings on the quality food, health, and home items their families rely on most every day.

Vipul Chawla, Group CEO of FairPrice Group, shared: “As we come together to commemorate our nation’s independence, we are acutely aware of the financial pressures many families continue to face. The recent conversations surrounding rising food costs underscore the vital importance of our mission. By introducing these National Day Return Vouchers, we want to provide meaningful, everyday savings and assure Singaporeans that FairPrice Group remains steadfast in our dedication to keeping daily essentials within reach.”

Caring for every family’s grocery basket

The National Day Return Voucher initiative is designed to be highly accessible for all shoppers:

  • Earning Vouchers: Shoppers will receive a $6 Return Voucher for every $61 spent in a single transaction between 6 August and 16 August, capped at a maximum of three vouchers per transaction.
  • Where to Shop: The promotion is available across all FairPrice supermarkets, FairPrice Finest, FairPrice Xtra, and Unity pharmacy stores islandwide.
  • Stackable Savings: The Return Vouchers can be stacked and used in conjunction with CDC Vouchers, CHAS card discounts, and Senior Citizen discounts (including Pioneer and Merdeka Generation discounts), allowing customers to maximise their overall savings.
  • Redemption Period: Vouchers can be redeemed on subsequent purchases until 31 August, giving customers ample flexibility to utilise their savings on their grocery and health essential runs.

Long-Term Commitment to the Community

This National Day initiative builds upon FairPrice Group’s sustained, year-round efforts to cushion household budgets against economic uncertainties:

  • Expanded Price Freezes: Locking prices on over 500 daily essentials, including housebrand rice, cooking oil, fresh and frozen meat, and vegetables, from 1 June to 31 August. This builds upon earlier price freezes implemented in April, as well as those for popular seafood and chilled pork at the start of the year.
  • Enhanced CHAS Cardholder Support: From 9 April to 31 May, weekly discounts for CHAS Blue and Orange cardholders doubled from  3% to 6%, along with a waiver of the $3.99 service fee for online delivery orders.
  • Everyday Value: Offering up to 36% off housebrand essentials through the BestSellers for Less campaign from 19 March to 10 June.
  • Community Care: Distributing 80,000 Buka Puasa refreshment sets and over $60,000 worth of festive care packs to beneficiaries.
