SINGAPORE, 2 September 2025 – In celebration of SG60, FairPrice Group (FPG) announced today that it is doubling its discounts for Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS) Blue and Orange cardholders with large families1 to six per cent from 1st September to 31 December 2025. CHAS Blue and Orange cardholders normally enjoy a three per cent discount every Thursday and Friday respectively on purchases at all FairPrice stores, FairPrice online and Unity outlets2.
The four-month initiative, sponsored by the FairPrice Foundation (FPF), is the latest in a series of activities by FPG and FPF to ensure that all in Singapore have the essentials they need to celebrate the nation’s birthday together. It was also launched in support of the government’s push for greater assistance to Singaporeans with large families, and to create a more family-friendly Singapore.

FPG was the first retailer in Singapore to offer a discount scheme for CHAS Orange cardholders, whose total gross household monthly income per family member living together ranges from $1,501 – $2,3003. This initiative also marks the second time this year that FPG has doubled these discounts.
“With three young children, I find myself at FairPrice about twice a week, usually spending at least $70 each time,” said Madam Gina Tan, a mother of three, a CHAS Blue cardholder and beneficiary of RiverLife Community Services. “Thursdays are my main shopping day, but like many parents, I often need to make an extra trip during the week to top up on basics like bread or milk when they run out.” She added, “For families like mine, every bit of savings goes a long way. The extension and increase of the CHAS discount really helps ease the weekly expenses and gives me one less thing to worry about when planning meals for the kids.”
In an effort to make experiences even easier for customers, FPG has also implemented the automatic application of discounts for seniors, Pioneer and Merdeka Generation individuals, and CHAS Blue and Orange cardholders4. After a one-time verification of their information on the FPG App with MyInfo, customers can use the app for payment to enjoy their discounts seamlessly. For example, CHAS Blue and Orange cardholders with large families will now have their six per cent discount automatically applied, ensuring the right support reaches the intended recipients without any additional steps. Since its implementation in late May 2025, over 340,000 Link members have updated their profiles via MyInfo.
