SINGAPORE, 2 September 2026 – FairPrice Group (FPG) today announced that it will double its discounts for Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS) Blue and Orange cardholders from three to six per cent from 3 September 2026 till 1 January 2027, providing greater and sustained savings for eligible shoppers. This deeper support will be supported by FPG’s philanthropic arm FairPrice Foundation (FPF).
Introduced to help cushion household budgets against rising daily expenses, this deeper support builds on more than $10 million in savings already extended to CHAS cardholders this year. This initiative ensures that Singaporeans in need continue to receive targeted support where it matters most.
Vipul Chawla, Group CEO, FairPrice Group, said, “As the first retailer in Singapore to introduce discounts for CHAS cardholders, we have consistently looked for ways to support our community, especially those who may need more help. Doubling our CHAS discounts to six per cent till the end of the year reflects our continued commitment to provide sustained support, helping eligible households save more on their everyday needs. By making these savings available both in-store and online, we hope to deliver meaningful value where it matters and make every day a little better for the communities we serve.”
NTUC Secretary-General Ng Chee Meng said, “Keeping grocery bills manageable is one way NTUC advances our social mission to support workers and Singaporeans. In particular for lower-income households, with the discount doubled, this will add up to meaningful savings over time. Through our impact businesses like FairPrice Group, more than $10 million in savings have been provided to CHAS Blue and Orange cardholders this year, and we want to do more. We will continue working with our partners to extend practical support that makes a real difference, and to help workers and Singaporeans stretch their dollar further where it matters most.”
