NTUC FairPrice extends operating hours and more stores to remain open during Lunar New Year

21 FairPrice stores remain open throughout the Lunar New Year break
Stores will extend operating hours from 7 February 2015
SINGAPORE, 4 February 2015 – NTUC FairPrice (FairPrice) is extending the operating hours of its stores leading up to the Lunar New Year break to meet increased demand for groceries and provide greater convenience to customers. In addition, 21 FairPrice stores will remain open throughout the upcoming festive season, an increase from 14 stores last year.
Mr Seah Kian Peng, CEO (Singapore) of NTUC FairPrice, said, “At FairPrice, we constantly strive to enhance the shopping experience for our customers and we recognise that many look to us for their daily needs. We are happy to celebrate the Lunar New Year festivities with our customers by extending our operating hours to facilitate their preparation for the occasion. Over the New Year we have also increased the number of stores that remains open, so that customers can continue to have access to their daily essentials.”
FairPrice has 126 stores in various formats islandwide, of which 53 FairPrice stores operate 24 hours. From 12 February to 17 February, 24-hour stores will continue to operate round-the-clock while all other FairPrice stores will extend their operating hours, some to as late as 2am. To cater to increased traffic and demand for groceries the day before the eve of the Lunar New Year on 17 February, 60 stores will remain open for 24 hours.
On the eve and first day of Lunar New Year, 21 stores will continue to remain open.
On the third day of the Lunar New Year, 21 February, all FairPrice stores will resume normal operating hours.

70 stores will operate as per their normal operating hours closing at 10:30pm, 11:00pm or 12:00am. 53 stores which operate 24 hours will open as per their normal operating hours. An additional 2 stores will extend their hours to open 24 hours during this period: Punggol Drive Jalan Kayu
12 February (Thursday) to 17 February 2015 (Tuesday)
65 stores will operate until 11pm or 12 midnight. From 14 to 17 February, the following 5 Xtra stores will further extend their operation hours to close at 2am: Ang Mo Kio Hub Jurong Point JEM Singapore Sports Hub Changi Business Park
The 53 existing 24-hour stores will run as per normal. Additionally, the following seven stores will operate for 24 hours on 17 February: Marine Parade Rochor Centre Coronation Plaza Marsiling MRT Kitchener Complex Punggol Drive Jalan Kayu
18 February (Chinese New Year Eve)and 19 February 2015 (1st day of Chinese New Year)
