In the lead-up to the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, NTUC FairPrice is rallying Singaporeans to pen their support for the Team Singapore contingent with a giant book of well wishes. Titled “One Nation Behind You”, the book symbolises the collective support of Singaporeans for the nation’s top athletes as they strive to make the nation proud at the Beijing Olympics.

FairPrice is a strong supporter of sports in Singapore, having been a Partner in Sports with the Singapore National Olympic Council (SNOC) since 2006. As part of the partnership, NTUC FairPrice Foundation has committed $300,000 to SNOC for the development of sporting talent in Singapore. With the book of well wishes, “One Nation Behind You”, FairPrice is going beyond monetary contributions to provide a platform for Singaporeans to support the nation’s Olympic aspirations.

To make it accessible for Singaporeans to show their support, the book will be placed at FairPrice stores with high customer traffic over the upcoming weekend. Members of the public can write their notes of encouragement in the book from 2pm to 5pm at FairPrice Xtra AMK Hub on Saturday July 26 and FairPrice Tampines Mall on Sunday July 27.

FairPrice will present the book to the Team Singapore contingent at the official send-off at the airport on August 2.
