FairPrice launches first Taiwan Fair following partnership agreement with Kaohsiung on the import of Taiwanese agricultural products

This follows the signing of an agreement in February 2019, which grants FairPrice a six-month period of full exclusivity to promote and sell Kaohsiung agricultural products
The island-wide fair at FairPrice stores will feature about 40 products from around Taiwan, at discounts of up to 50 per cent

SINGAPORE, 21 March 2019 – NTUC FairPrice (FairPrice) today launched its first Taiwan Fair following a joint partnership agreement signed with the Kaohsiung City Government. The agreement will see FairPrice purchasing Kaohsiung agricultural products from 1 March 2019 for the next three years, with FairPrice being granted full exclusivity for the first six months on the promotion and sale of the products in Singapore.

Mr Seah Kian Peng, CEO, NTUC FairPrice, said: “We are excited to launch the first Taiwan fair, following the signing of joint partnership agreement with the Kaohsiung City Government last month. The fair features a wide range of products from Kaohsiung and other parts of Taiwan which are available to customers at affordable prices. We look forward to expanding our product range through subsequent fairs, and featuring more interesting products to cater to the evolving needs of consumers.”

Starting today, the week-long fair will feature about 40 products from various parts of Taiwan, priced at discounts of up to 50 per cent. Produce such as guavas, jujubes, honey murcotts, Kyoho grapes, popular selling items including Jen Yuan Taiwan Beef Noodles, Chung Hsiang Biscuits, Golden Chef Superior Fish Maw Soup and JLH Fish Balls will be available at all FairPrice stores and FairPrice On.
