NTUC FairPrice supports Earth Day with return of FairPrice Cares! Campaign

In support of Earth Day, NTUC FairPrice (FairPrice) has brought back its annual FairPrice Cares! Campaign.The Campaign seeks to encourage customers to save 300,000 plastic bags in a fortnight during their grocery shopping.

The FairPrice Cares! Campaign will run for two weeks from 22 April till 5 May 2013 and is promoted through in-store messages and That’s My FairPrice Facebook page. This is the fourth year FairPrice is organising the FairPrice Cares! Campaign. In previous years, FairPrice ran the programme for a week. In 2012, the campaign saved a record 143,000 plastic bags in a week.

To celebrate Earth Day, FairPrice has also launched a new foldable Love Nature Bag made of lightweight material to make it more convenient for shoppers. It is available at all 10 FairPrice Finest stores located across Singapore, priced at S$2.90 each. Customers can send in interesting pictures of themselves using the new Love Nature Bags with creative green captions, and share what they like about the bag. To participate, members of the public can email their entries to 3 entries will be shared on FairPrice’s Facebook page and receive FairPrice vouchers and eco-related prizes.
