SINGAPORE, 4 August 2015 – NTUC FairPrice (FairPrice) today launched an improved version of its FairPrice Online App for both iOS and Android devices to provide a more seamless online shopping experience, greater convenience and more savings for FairPrice online customers.
Having amassed over 100,000 subscribers on its online portal, FairPrice recognises the increasing number of tech-savvy customers looking to shop on the go on their mobile devices. In Singapore, smartphone penetration was 88% in 2014, making it amongst the highest in the world for smartphone usage1.

The new and improved app makes grocery shopping easy and enjoyable, which caters to time-stretched customers who are always on the go and connected via their smart devices.”
FairPrice Online was launched in 2002 before online shopping gained popularity in Singapore. Since then, online grocery shopping has continued to grow with the portal, which registered a 25 per cent increase on average for monthly online orders in 2015 as compared to the previous year. FairPrice Online offers a wide range of over 5,500 products, ranging from fresh foods to household essentials.
To mark the launch of the revamped FairPrice Online app, as well as to thank over 100,000 subscribers for their support, users of the new app will enjoy S$7 off their order from today to 15 September 2015. App users can just key in the promo code ‘MOFPOLAPP’ upon checkout with a minimum spend of S$75 to enjoy the promotion. Beyond this, FairPrice Online app users will continue to enjoy popular online exclusive offers such as biweekly advertised deals or weekly promotions such as Must Buy or Purchase with Purchase to enjoy savings of up to 25 per cent.
Highlights of the revamped FairPrice Online App:
1. Seamless grocery shopping across all platforms
The revamped FairPrice Online App allows customers to access their accounts or saved shopping carts and lists on any device, either through the app or website, or also across multiple platforms such as on mobile, tablet and PC.
Upon checkout, customers can choose their preferred delivery method – ‘Home Delivery’ or ‘Click&Collect’
Customers can also donate groceries to a voluntary welfare organisation (VWO) under the ‘Donate to VWO’ tab.
2. Improved user interface
With the app’s improved user interface, it now takes less than three minutes to register for a FairPrice Online account via the app.
Dedicated ‘Featured’ and ‘Best Sellers’ tabs gives subscribers quick access to popular products, while the ‘Recently Viewed’ tab allows for quick recall and consolidation of products. Users can create their own shopping lists of items for quick and convenient re-ordering of their favourite or regular items.
Subscribers can also report abandoned trolleys and submit their feedback through the FairPrice Online App.
3. Enhanced Store Locator
FairPrice Online App users will be able to easily locate the nearest FairPrice outlet just by keying in a postal code, street name or area name (eg: Hougang) to find a FairPrice store in the vicinity. Alternatively, customers can also browse and filter stores by zone or store type. Upon selecting the preferred store, the app will provide real-time directions from the users’ current location to the desired FairPrice store. Also available in the app are the addresses, phone numbers and operating hours of FairPrice outlets islandwide.
