NTUC FairPrice launches FairPrice Finest store at new Paya Lebar Quarter mall

SINGAPORE, 8 November 2019 – NTUC FairPrice (FairPrice), today announced the opening of FairPrice Finest concept store at the newly launched Paya Lebar Quarter (PLQ) mall. Combining the experience of fine living with a wider product assortment and value-added services, FairPrice Finest at PLQ Mall aims to bring the fine life closer to shoppers at fair prices.

This FairPrice Finest store at PLQ Mall is designed with this objective and it features a wider selection of convenient food solutions, in addition to products that are designed to support eco-lifestyle choices, among other initiatives.”

Expanded Selection of Food and Eco-Lifestyle Choices

The new FairPrice Finest at PLQ mall is designed with the time-starved office workers and residents in mind. Featuring over 50 different Ready-To-Eat meal options, customers can look forward to a wide selection of meals such as pastas and soups, Asian cuisine and assorted cakes, which can be consumed at the standing counters available in stores. An in-store bakery also serves freshly brewed coffee and tea, waffles and baked goods, which are hand made in store and contain no artificial flavourings.

Other food options include fresh sushi and customised made-to-order makis, fresh salads, Chendol ice cream, and halal-certified, all-natural chicken and beef Rendang.

Besides an expanded variety of convenient food choices, FairPrice Finest at PLQ mall also features an assortment of products made from sustainable and eco-friendly materials. In line with FairPrice’s drive in championing sustainability initiatives and doing good for the environment, the specially-curated range of eco-friendly products includes bags, cardholders and cutleries.

The FairPrice Finest store is located at Basement 2 of the new Paya Lebar Quarter Mall. Opening hours for the store are from 7.00am to 11.00pm daily.

Sharing the Joy of Christmas with the Less Advantaged

To commemorate the launch of the new store and to spread cheer ahead of upcoming year-end festivities, FairPrice hosted 50 beneficiaries from the Haig Road Tanjong Katong Neighbourhood Committee for a shopping trip. Each beneficiary received S$30 worth of shopping voucher to purchase items in store, accompanied by grassroots advisers, Professor Fatimah Lateef and Mr Tan Chuan-Jin, as well as FairPrice volunteers and members of the FairPrice management team.

Beneficiaries of the programme will be able to maximise use of their Back to School vouchers at the fair, which offers exclusive deals and special promotions on school-related merchandise, including school bags and shoes, assessment As a social enterprise, FairPrice champions various charity initiatives to galvanise the community to do good for less advantaged and needy families in the community. Such initiatives include the Share-A-Textbook project to help needy students save on textbook expenses, the FairPrice Food voucher scheme and the FairPrice Walk-For-Rice initiative that rally the community to raise bowls of rice through various walking activities.
