Why this matters
Making mealtime more fulfilling
83% of parents prioritise providing nutritious meals, and for 76%, their biggest concern is ensuring their kids eat healthily. With fresh, high-quality protein within reach, mealtimes can be more wholesome, delicious, and satisfying for everyone.
Putting freshness on the table
HPB recommends that protein make up a quarter of every meal, with less reliance on processed options high in saturated fat and sodium. Just three eggs provide a serving of fresh protein and essential vitamins and minerals like iron, vitamin B, and zinc.
Helping seniors stay strong
Older adults need up to twice as much protein as younger ones to maintain muscle, yet 1 in 2 here aren’t getting enough. Eggs are easy to cook, easy to eat, and a simple, versatile way to support strength, balance, and recovery.

The Protein Pledge is our commitment to making fresh, high-quality protein more accessible to nutritionally vulnerable communities across Singapore. By working with local charity partners and community organisations, FairPrice Foundation aims to bring better nutrition to more people.
Eggs are distributed through charity partners and community organisations, who ensure they reach those who need them most. Eligibility criteria may vary based on each organisation’s guidelines.
Eggs may be distributed weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly, depending on the needs of the community partners we serve.

We currently prioritise eggs as a high-quality, nutritious source of protein. However, we are open to considering alternative protein options for beneficiaries with dietary restrictions. This would be evaluated in collaboration with our community partners on a case-by-case basis.
